La Figlia del Reggimento
French comic opera in two acts that made its debut in Paris in 1840 and in the same year, in the
Italian version, at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
The action takes place in Switzerland, where a little girl is lovingly raised by the soldiers of the
Savoyard regiment because she is considered an orphan. The young Tyrolean Tonio, who loves her
back, would like to enlist to marry her, but is mistaken for a spy and arrested. The happy ending,
after a series of misunderstandings and setbacks, even comic, is guaranteed.

Maximum concentration for the tee-shot uphill, with looming woodland to the left, uncomfortable
slopes, rough always lurking and delicate green, visible only at the last.
